Your FAQs… answered!

So you are considering a brand shoot – But you have some questions in mind. How do I prepare? What should I wear? How long will it take? Where should I get the shots?

Fear not – I have put together a list of some of the most frequently asked questions I hear from clients prior to booking in for a brand shoot. So grab yourself a cuppa and swot up, girl!


WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

This is a question I get asked ALL the time! Essentially the bottom line is: Whatever YOU feel fantastic in. Depending on the kind of shoot you go for, there is the option to have a couple of outfit choices. I always suggest having a pop of your brand colour in there – whether that is in the form of a full on frock, or in your accessories, it is nice to give a nod to your brand colours in your outfit choices. If you are wanting a bit more of a helping hand in personal styling, I can recommend a stylist to you, who can help you choose the most flattering colours and shapes to get you looking and feeling  a million and one dollars.


WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

It entirely depends on the nature of your shoot, is the answer to this one! Some of my clients simply bring themselves if they are going for some new headshots for their website and socials. Others will bring branded merchandise or tools that are integral to their business. We will go through all of this together when we start to talk through your shoot and the message you want to send through your brand images.


HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

The question on everyone’s lips. Booking a brand shoot of course comes with a price tag, but it has to be in line with what you can afford. I have a number of packages I offer, which range from more budget friendly options through to the premium, annual brand packages that will cover your content all year round. Equally, clients in the past have opted to book purely on an hourly basis, setting the hours they want and the budget that works for them. The answer here, is that it is not a one size fits all. In order for me to quote you a price, I always like to jump on a quick discovery call first to go through the needs of your business.


DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes. I feel it is important to be able to make personal branding accessible to all business owners passionate about what they do. Brand Photography is an investment, and I appreciate not everyone has the luxury of readily available funds. I offer flexible payment plans to suit whatever you feel is most appropriate for your budget, should you not be able to front the cost all at once.


HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

This one entirely depends on the package you go for. I offer mini shoots of 40 minutes, through to annual packages of four lots of three hours across the year. Again this will come down to the needs of you and your business. We can go through all of this together in a discovery call.


HOW LONG BEFORE I GET MY IMAGES?

I usually have your images with you within 48 hours of the shoot. I tend to get very excited about editing! I don’t want you to have to wait to see how sensational you look, or to start utilising your new bank of images!


WHERE WILL THE SHOOT TAKE PLACE?

This one is simple. Your shoot – Your choice! Personal branding is exactly what it says on the tin. It is a visual representation of your personal brand. So when it comes to location, where is it that you want to be seen? Your studio? Your home? In the great outdoors? Where will resonate with your ideal client?

Disclaimer: If you believe your ideal client would really resonate with you being stood on a beach on the Maldives, we may have to improvise slightly… despite it being exactly where we would all preferably like to be “seen”. (sob).
